6 years later I scored my first goal playing for a Nationally ranked College. After 3 more years of competing Nationally for Park College, in KC Missouri, I attained my Bachelors Degree, Majoring in Nutrition.
I knew my purpose was to be like my stepdad, getting people out of pain and back on the field of life, re-awakening dreams and igniting passion for living…without pain, without drugs/medication, without surgery. 4 years later I graduated Life University with my doctorate of Chiropractic.
My soccer days are long gone, and my greatest achievement was making it to one-cut away from the US Olympic team. I still receive monthly chiropractic treatments to manage my low back condition. These days, on weekends, you will find me out on the beach playing competitive 2-man beach volleyball.
Nothing gives me greater joy than watching people get out of pain and return to health, return to the field, return to work, return to exercise, return to whatever it is they couldn’t do because the pain simply wouldn’t allow them to. It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of that process

When I was 12 years old, my dream was to be a professional soccer player. If I wasn’t playing soccer, I was daydreaming about playing. During a game one day, I fell awkwardly, and felt something “shift” in my lower back. By the end of the game, I could barely walk the pain was so intense. My mom took me the next day to my pediatrician, who, after looking at the X-rays remarked, “looks like your soccer days are over.” I was devastated, my dreams crushed.
Luckily for me, my Stepfather was also a doctor, a doctor of chiropractic, so I went to see him at his office the next day. He took a look at the X-rays and told me I had a condition I was born with called a spondylolisthesis, this sounded bad. He said my spine didn’t fully form properly, and was therefore weaker than a normal, healthy spine. All of the soccer and running and falling had injured this already weak area. The bad news…I would always have this condition, that’s why the pediatrician said what he did. The good news, I’d be back on the field in 4-5 weeks!! This would certainly NOT be the end of my soccer career!!
Within 2 weeks of weekly treatment I was pain free. For the next 3-4 weeks I was given strengthening exercises, and sure enough, I was back on the field in 5 weeks.
